Ergonomic research shows that greater than 50% of the labor time consumed by filing is wasted on simply getting to the location of the file you want to retrieve or return.  Picture someone filing from typical file cabinets or shelving - lots of walking, bending, reaching, opening/closing drawers, climbing step ladders, etc. 

Further, it is generally the case that 80% of the activity occurs with 20% of the files.  By taking that 20% of your files and moving them into an automated vertical carousel, filing labor costs are cut in half (proven by a State of Michigan study). 

Vertical carousels also have a number of secondary benefits:

• Provides high security with automated locking doors, password access and optional computer interface.

• Allows for filing by physically disabled individuals.

• Electronic Controls are easily accessible from the front and are equipped with EMI filters for protection against static.

• The built-in fluorescent lighting system is activated automatically when the "On" key is pressed.

• A redundant safety system of upper and lower infrared beams and upper and lower mechanical safety bars prevents damage to stored items. Safety beams are tested and verified each time the machine is turned on.

Carriers rotate automatically, bringing requested files to your fingertips without reaching, bending, or wasting steps.

Optional powered door can be opened or closed from a sitting position using the control panel or computer. Both powered and standard doors can also be key-locked from a sitting position.

At any given time, you have access to almost 350 linear inches of storage space - the equivalent of opening 14 file drawers.

Work surface is adjustable to a standing or sitting position, providing an ergonomically correct work height for all workers.

When placed in the lower position, stored contents are easily accessible from a sitting position.

Exclusive recessed panel provides toe clearance, allowing full frontal approach.
